Job Overview

About The Role

At AO, we believe doing the simple things well makes a big difference. That’s why we focus on making every interaction easy, enjoyable and better than expected -and our CRM team is right at the heart of that journey.

We’re on the lookout for a CRM Executive to help bring engaging, relevant campaigns to life across Mobile Phones Direct, Affordable Mobiles, Buy Mobiles, and our AO B2B customers.
Working closely with our CRM Manager, you’ll help plan and deliver smart, multi channel campaigns across email, SMS, social and print. From welcoming new customers and sharing exciting offers, to re engaging lapsed audiences and rewarding loyal ones, you’ll help turn everyday communications into meaningful relationships. Building long term loyalty, increasing lifetime value, and giving customers lots of reasons to keep choosing AO.

Our people are our superpower, and we’re unstoppable when we’re together! We want your ideas to flow, and what better way to make that happen than being based onsite, 5 days a week, where our culture fuels creativity, collaboration and growth. If a £1 bet in the pub between two friends can become the UKs most trusted electrical retailer, imagine what else can be achieved when we’re together!

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

  • Working closely with key business stakeholders to gather requirements for new business wide campaigns and support manufacturer campaigns.

* Assisting the CRM Manager with planning out the content for each of our newsletter campaigns.
* Writing the email newsletter briefs to ensure the creative team know what we need from them.
* Managing feedback on creative designs and copy from key stakeholders and feeding these amends back to the creative team.
* Build emails within our ESP platform Emarsys using drag and drop templates.
* Schedule email build time with the Email Development team for more complex builds.
* Brief the Email Development team on build requirement and supply them with the assets in good time.
* Testing the links in each proof email.
* Scheduling emails for broadcast.

* Record and report on key email KPIs (open rate, click rate, bounce rate, orders and revenue).
* Execute the testing plan and report learnings back to Senior stakeholders on a weekly basis.
* Work closely with the CRM Manager to understand the behaviour and value of customer segments.

A Few Things About You

  • Highly organised, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deliver against deadlines in a fast‑paced commercial environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring feedback is gathered, recorded, and communicated accurately at every stage.
  • Confident communicator, comfortable building relationships and liaising effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • Self‑motivated and results‑driven, taking ownership of tasks and consistently seeing them through to completion.
  • Experience in a similar role, with hands‑on use of enterprise‑level CRM systems to manage data and processes efficiently.

A Bit About Us

We’re big on appliances and electricals, REALLY big. Washing machines, fridge freezers and TVs? They’re our bread and butter. Mobiles, Airwraps and Ring doorbells? Yep, those too. If it plugs in, powers up or makes life easier, AO probably has it.

But we’re more than that… For over 25 years, trust has been at the heart of everything we do, helping us become the UK’s most trusted electrical retailer. Our customers rate us 4.9 on Trustpilot from nearly ONE MILLION reviews and more 5-star ratings than any other UK electrical retailer, because they know they can rely on us and it’s the exact same for our AOers too.

We truly believe it’s more than just a job, we genuinely care about each other and our impact on making our customers lives easier, by helping them brilliantly. Everyone here knows how their role makes a difference. Our people are our superpower, so, when it comes to finding new AOers, we know it’s about more than just a CV, it’s about what makes you, YOU.
