Job Overview

About The Role

As our D365 Technical Consultant, you’ll be a hands‑on technical lead across Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, Supply Chain, WMS and Azure.

This role is all about keeping our ERP platform robust, upgrade‑ready and fit for purpose. You’ll guide how we configure, extend and integrate D365, making sure we move fast without creating technical debt, and that we stay aligned to Microsoft’s One Version release model.

You’ll work closely with Functional Consultants, Integration Engineers, Test Leads and Architects to make sure the platform is secure by design, operationally stable and ready to support our day‑to‑day business.

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

You’ll be hands‑on in shaping how our D365 platform is built and extended, working with Functional Consultants to decide when to configure, extend or build — and challenging unnecessary customisation along the way.

You’ll design and review technical solutions across D365, Azure and integrations, making sure everything is secure by design, upgrade‑ready and aligned to Microsoft’s One Version model.
You’ll help uphold development and release standards, assess the impact of upcoming releases, and support testing, release readiness and environment uplift.

You’ll also help keep the platform stable day to day — supporting deployments, monitoring integrations, resolving issues quickly, and acting as a trusted technical advisor to delivery and business teams.

A Few Things About You

You’re a hands‑on D365 technical specialist who’s comfortable working deep in the detail, but you can also step back and explain technical decisions clearly and pragmatically.
You’ve worked with D365 Finance & Operations, Supply Chain or WMS in live environments, and you understand how to manage customisations so they stay supportable and upgrade‑ready. You care about building things properly — not just making them work once.

You’ll likely bring experience in areas like:

  • D365 technical development, including X++
  • Managing and reviewing the Customisation Analysis Report
  • Working within Microsoft’s One Version release cycle
  • Azure integration services such as Logic Apps, Function Apps and Service Bus
  • API patterns including OData and REST
  • CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps

You’re collaborative, delivery‑focused and practical in your approach. You’re comfortable working with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, and you take pride in building solutions that are secure, reliable and ready for the long term.
